Abstract:
PURPOSE: To decrease dispersion of width dimensions of an expanded grids and stabilize quality by forming a lead alloy sheet with a roller whose diameter is reduced stepwise or gradually from around the center toward outside width direction edge.
CONSTITUTION: A Pb-Ca alloy sheet is expanded, then forming work is conducted to the expanded sheet with three rollers of A, B, and C, to manufacture an expanded grid. The roller A has the maximum diameter in order to press down a central non-worked part in the expanding work and the diameter of other part is reduced stepwise from around the center of the roller toward the both ends. Although the roller B is the same as the roller A, the diameter of the roller is conically, gradually reduced. The roller C has large diameter in the central part in order to press down the central non-worked part in the expanding work, and other part is made the same diameter.
