Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form the center of a handrail used for buildings and others with a metal pipe so that various kinds of synthetic resin coating layers can be formed on the outer surfaces of it.
CONSTITUTION: A metal pipe 8 to be fed forms a coating layer 9 on the surface of a metal pipe 8 with synthetic resin such as polyolefin resin, vinyl chloride, polystyrene, nylon, and others from an extruder 2 when it passes through the inside of a metal die 3. At the same time, it forms thick wall projected parts 10 caused by variation in thickness are provided continuously on a part of the coating layer 9 in longitudinal direction at specified intervals by the lifting action of a lifting shutter metal mold 6 by the action of a variable drive device 5 at the outlet of the metal die 3.
