PURPOSE: To enable winding operation by a rolling machine, and to improve the workability of winding by attaching thermoplastic resin powder on the surface of a mandrel under a heater state, winding a prepreg composed of reinforcing fibers and a thermoplastic resin on the mandrel and heating and molding the prepreg.
CONSTITUTION: A mandrel 2 is heated by using a heating means such as a heating furnace 3, and thermoplastic resin powder 5 is attached on the surface of the mandrel 2. The mandrel 2, on the surface of which powder 5 is attached, is heated by the heating furnace 3, etc., again, and powder 5 is brought to a melted state. The mandrel 2 and a prepreg 1 are arranged onto the lower disk 8 of a rolling machine, and the mandrel 2 is held by the lower disk 8 and a upper disk 7 and the upper disk 7 is rotated centering around a revolving shaft 6. The lower disk 8 is moved forward at the same time and the mandrel 2 is rolled on the prepreg 1, and the prepreg 1 is wound spirally. The mandrel 2, on which the prepreg 1 is wound, is heated and molded, and cooled, and a heat-resistant non-adhesive tape is removed and the mandrel 2 is extracted, thus acquiring a hollow rod.
