Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the quality of an inside surface and to reduce the maintenance cost as to the inside surface.
CONSTITUTION: In a method in which a hot drawn seamless carbon steel tube is manufactured by drawing it to reduce the thickness after the external diameter of a hollow shell 2a obtained by piercing a solid stock made from carbon steel is contracted by a shell sizer 7, the inside temperature at the time when the diameter of the hollow shell 2a is contracted by the shell sizer 7 is controlled to a temperature to peel the oxide scale inside the surface when the diameter is contracted or the inside surface of the hollow shell 2a whose external diameter is contracted is purged of the scale by an inside surface purging device 9.
