Abstract:
PURPOSE: To restrain indentation flaws by inside scales of a hot seamless tube manufactured by piercing and strech-rolling.
CONSTITUTION: The inside temperature of the material which is being elongated by rolling is restrained below the melting point of the oxidized scale generated on this material. The quantity of the generated oxidized scale is reduced and further such a case that liquefied scale and solid scale are mingled to form a large indentation flaw on the inside of the material can be avoided.
