Abstract:
PURPOSE: To manufacture a laminate of good punchability, without any concomitant reduction of its strength and gelling rate, by the use of a resol type phenolic resin varnish containing, as a plasticizer, a specific polyester.
CONSTITUTION: A resol type phenolic resin varnish is impregnated in a base material. A pluraity of the resulting prepreg are laminated, then subjected to hot pressing to obtain the objective laminate. During the above process, the varnish is incorporated, as a plasticizer, with a polyester of a molecular weight of 700W5,000, having at least one amide bond which acts as a curing agent through the reaction with the methylol group present in the plenolic resin.
