PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method for parts having regions of ferromagnetism and permanent magnetism.

CONSTITUTION: A motor frame and permanent magnet assembly has a feromagnetic frame formed of ion powder encapsulated with a thermoplastic material and an annular array of permanent magnets formed of permanent magnet powder encapsulated with an epoxy resin. A permanent magnet rotor assembly has a ferromagnetic core 14 formed of the ion powder encapsulated with the thermoplastic material and a permanent magnet shell 16 formed of the permanent magnet powder encapsulated with the epoxy resin. In the processing of these parts, annular inner and outer punch elements 26, 28 coaxial with a central core rod 22 are taken into and out of a heated die casing 30. The above powder is supplied into cavities formed when the punch elements are retracted. The powder is simultaneously fused and compacted to form the parts of an integral structure.
