To obtain a marble-like having good workability and weathering resistance by a method in which a reinforced forming resin plate is coated with a coating material comprising a film waterproofing material of a synthetic resin emulsion, fine hollow ceramics particles having a specified hydraulic pressure resistance strength, and natural crushed stone particles, and the coated surface, after being press molded, is coated with a top coat.
A coating material of a composition containing a synthetic resin emulsion, fine hollow ceramics particles, and natural crushed atone particles which is mixed and agitated by a vacuum deaeration kneading apparatus is applied in the surface of a reinforced formed resin plate 1 and cured at room temperature. The plate is press molded, cured at room temperature, and coated with a top coat. In this process, the ceramics particles the hydraulic pressure resistance strength of which is 600kg/cm2 is used. The hydraulic pressure resistance strength is the synonym of the compressive strength of the particles. When the compressive strength of the particles is measured, the particles are placed in water, the water is pressured, the pressure applied to the water is transmitted to the particles to allow the compressive strength to be measured.
