Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a facility cost or management-hours, and obtain a high-accurate metallic band by overlappedly fitting raw material rings on a circular jig outer periphery having a thermal expansion coefficient higher than that of the raw material rings, and heating them; and plastically deforming the raw material rings by differential thermal expansion.
SOLUTION: A required number of raw material rings R made of managing steel are overlappedly fitted onto the outer periphery of a circular jig 1, made of austenite steel having a high thermal expansion coefficient, and the jig 1 and a presser block 5 are passed through the shaft 4 of the base block 3 of a jig retainer 2 with presser plates 6 between, and are fastened by a nut 7. This is placed in a heat treating furnace to perform aging treatment, and concurrently apply plastic deformation to the rings R by the thermal expansion of the jig 1. Consequently the rings R are circularly diameter-expanded by stress uniformly loaded from an inner peripheral side, to sharply expand the allowance range of the difference between the outer and inner peripheral lengths of ad joining inner and outer rings, thereby reducing a facility and management cost. Also a jig dimension and treating temperature are fixed to improve the dimensional accuracy of the metallic band.
