Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide method and device by which a metallic double pipe having sufficient interface tight contact can be stably attained by maintaining an excellent hydraulic sealing state in an internal pipe, and making the contraction deformation of the internal pipe in the axial direction of the pipe allowed in a free state.
CONSTITUTION: Two kinds of metallic pipes with different elastoplasticity deformation properties are used as internal pipe 12 and external pipe 14, and both pipes are press- fitted by hydraulic tube expansion by the application of a hydraulic pressure from the inside of the internal pipe. When manufacturing a double pipe by this method, the internal pipe 12 is protruded by prescribed length out of the end of the external pipe 14, and a part on the end side of the external pipe 14 is mechanically fixed. On the outer hand, a pipe end hydraulic seal device 20 is installed, by which a hydraulic seal is possible on the outer periphery of the part on the end side of the internal pipe 12, while press fitting it to the outer peripheral surface of the internal pipe 12 by the supply of seal-pressure liquid from an outside. The internal pipe 12 and the external pipe 14 are press-fitted by the hydraulic tube expansion while applying the hydraulic seal to the outer peripheral surface of the internal pipe 12 by supplying the seal-pressure liquid at a pressure always higher than a tube expansion pressure.
