PURPOSE: To improve the dimensional accuracy of a protecting layer in a molded coil by fixing a coil body into a fiber reinforced plastic box, in which stationary washers for supporting the coil body is provided on the inner surface and filling epoxy material while vibrating the box, thereby impregnating, defoaming and curing the plastic.
CONSTITUTION: Stationary washers 12 are provided to fix a coil body 5 at the prescribed position inside a fiber reinforced plastic box 11. A lower die 8 is fixed onto a vibrator 14, the box 11, in which the body 5 is installed, is engaged inside the die 8, an epoxy material 13 is then gradually filled while vibrating the vibrator 14, thereby impregnating and deforming the details of the surface of the body 5. After the material 13 is all filled and defoamed, an upper die 9 is mounted. After the material 13 is cured at the ambient temperature, it is after- cured, the die 9 is removed, and the die 8 is removed. In this manner, the coil which is fixed to the washers 12 and molded with the material 13 is obtained, and the dimensional accuracy of the protecting layer is improved, thereby obtaining a molded coil adapted for the coil installed on the ground for a magnetically floating train.
