PURPOSE: To chamfer edges in manufacturing an outer cutting edge of for ex. an electric shaver easily without causing deformation to be outer cutting edge by providing an outer cutting edge having a cutting edge portion not contacting the inner cutting edge, and by chamfering edges of that portion of outer cutting edge not contacting the inner cutting edge by means of liquid honing.

CONSTITUTION: A receipt table 28 is composed of a supporting table 30 having the same radius D as the inner edge and a supporting part 32 to support the outer cutting edge by its periphery, whereupon the outer cutting edge is placed inverted and fixed with a clamp 34. Space 38 and an opening 36 are provided between the supports 30, 32. The liquid with abrasive grains in a tank 46 is injected from a nozzle 40 toward a cutting edge portion to perform chamfering, 26, through a pump 4, while said receipt table 28 is being rotated round the axis. At this time, the liquid with abrasive grains passes through a cutting edge hole 14 to reach the space 38 and is exhausted from the opening 36. The energy of this liquid with abrasive grains provides chamfering without causing deformation to the outer cutting edge, wherein there is no risk of beard being hooked at edges of the outer cutting edge.
