PURPOSE: To obtain the titled pipe of high quality by a method wherein only the surface layer of a synthetic resin pipe is rapidly heated, a heat sensitive bonding agent is coated over the synthetic resin pipe by an extrusion coating device while the surface layer of the pipe is in a heated condition and the synthetic resin pipe is inserted into a metallic pipe so that the bonding strength of the synthetic resin pipe to the metallic pipe becomes uniform and firm.
CONSTITUTION: Only the surface layer of a synthetic resin pipe 1 is rapidly heated by a heating device 2 and the heat sensitive bonding agent is coated over the surface of the pipe 1 by the extrusion coating device 7 while the surface layer of the pipe 1 is in a heated condition. Then the synthetic resin pipe 1 is inserted into the metallic pipe and heated to expand radially to thereby obtain the pipe lined with the synthetic resin. In this case, it is preferable to heat the synthetic resin pipe 1 in such a manner that for example, hot air supplied from a hot air generator 4 through a conduit 5 is blown over the pipe 1 by a hot air blower 3 to heat the pipe at a temperature above 80°C at which the pipe is not thermally deteriorated.
