PURPOSE: To obtain the captioned bottle in an efficient manner by blow-forming a bottomed hollow preformed body for the manufacture of a ball-contained sweetened carbonated water bottle, putting a hermetically contained ball into said body having a mouth part whose internal diameter is larger than said ball and heat-contracting the said mouth part.
CONSTITUTION: A bottomed hollow preformed body 1 having a mouth part 2 with an internal diameter which is smaller than the external diameter of a ball 9 hermetically contained in a sweetened carbonated water bottle is manufactured using polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate, etc. Next, this polyester preformed body 1 is blow-formed at a temperature range which allows polyester elongation, into an intermediate formed body 6 with a mouth part 4 whose internal diameter is larger than the external diameter of the ball 9 and a barrel partly constricted. After this process, the ball 9 is put into the body and the mouth part 4 is heat-contracted until its internal diameter becomes smaller than the external diameter of the ball 9. Thus an intended bottle for sweetened carbonated water can be obtained.
