PURPOSE: To cause acetylene black to be homogeneously dispersed by mixing a positive active material with a dispersion consisting of acetylene black and polytetrafluoroethylene under the existence of alcohol.
CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode 1 is formed by the use of an active material which is prepared by mixing the sulfide or the like of iron with a dispersion consisting of acetylene black and polytetrafluoroethylene under the existence of alcohol. After that, the combination of a separator 3 and a negative electrode 7 which is made of lithium used as an active material, is installed and sealed in a positive and a negative can 4 and 5, thereby constituting an organic electrolyte battery. As a result, acetylene black is homogeneously dispersed owing to an increased affinity between acetylene black and water, and a high porosity of the positive electrode 1 can be excellently achieved. Consequently, any expansion of the battery can be prevented and the quantity of the electric discharge electricity can be increased by improving the absorption of electric discharge products.
