PURPOSE: To facilitate the production by spraying a colloidal suspension containing water and the powder of antimony trioxide and aluminum trioxide with the grain size of 30 μm or less on a translucent conductor film formed on the inner face of a glass tube by the spray method from both ends of the glass tube in turn to form a protective film.
CONSTITUTION: A colloidal suspension containing water and the powder of antimony trioxide and aluminum trioxide with the grain size of 300 μm or less is sprayed on a NESA film 5 on the inner face of a glass tube 1 by the spray method from both ends of the glass tube 1 in turn to form a protective film 8. When the NESA film 5 is thus formed on the inner face of the glass tube 1 by the spray method and the protective film 8 of antimony trioxide and aluminum trioxide is formed on this NESA film 5, the production facility and production cost of a rapid-start type fluorescent lamp can be reduced.
