Title:
MANUFACTURE OF RARE EARTH ELEMENT-IRON-BORON SINTERED PERMANENT MAGNET AND MOLDING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08316017
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To smoothly execute a continuous press molding work without mold lubrication by mixing one or more types of boric acid ester compounds and one or more types of amine compounds with alloy powder.

CONSTITUTION: Alloy powder to be used contains R-Fe-B alloy powder, where R is 10 to 30 atomic %, B is 2 to 28 atomic % and Fe is 65 to 82 atomic % (however, 50 atomic % of the Fe may be substituted with Co) and R2Fe14B crystalline grains are main body. At least one type or boric acid ester compound is mixed as lubricant together with at least one type of amine compound with the alloy powder. Even if the mixed material is left to stand for in the atmosphere, the decrease of the lubricating effect by hydrolysis is prevented by the mixture of the lubricant. Thus, the friction between the powder and the wall of a die is reduced, continuous press molding is performed without mold lubrication, the working time can be shortened, and the continuous press molding work for a long time can be continued.
