PURPOSE: To produce a resin molding having decoration of deep impression by forming a recess for engagement with a protrusion of a decorated part of the resin molding on a stamping jig of a hot stamping device and causing said recess to press a member to be stamped against the upper surface along with the side surfaces of decorated part of the molding.

CONSTITUTION: A molded item of resin, with its protruding decorated part 10 directed upward, is set on a receiving jig 44. A member to be stamped 2 is set on the decorated part 10 is such a manner that an adhesive layer 24 of the member 2 faces the part 10. And then a hot stamping device 4 is actuated to fix the member 2 to the decorated part 10 by effecting a hot stamping treatment of a stamping jig 43, whereby a recess 45 of the jig 43 causes a protection layer 22, a metal deposition layer 23 and an adhesive layer 24 of the member 2 to be bonded and fixed to the upper surface along with the side surfaces of the part 10. Moreover, since the coating material 46 of the jig 43 has an appropriate hardness, the member 2 can follow the shape of the part 10, with the result that the member to be stamped 2 is surely stamped on the upper surface along with the side surfaces of the decorated part 10.
