CONSTITUTION: As for a rolling material 1 consisting of an alloy material of a high Ni-Cr-Co cmpound, etc., a scale on the surface is removed by a polish- cleaning material jetted from a polish-cleaning jetting nozzle 4 in a wet blast part 3. Subsequently, it is washed with water by a water washing nozzle 5, and after that, is polished with a wire brush 6, etc., and also is washed with water by a water washing nozzle 7. In this case, as for the polish-cleaning material, iron sand, etc. are used, and water is used as a high pressure fluid. This method is applicable to a material such as a clad material consisting of a copper alloy and an Ni alloy, a high Mn alloy, etc., and a rolling material having a clean surface can be obtained.
