Title:
MANUFACTURE OF SUPERCONDUCTIVE CERAMICS WIRE MATERIAL HAVING HIGH CRITICAL CURRENT DENSITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0230011
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve critical current density by inserting an interference bar material into a tubular vessel before applying a sintering treatment to a wire element material, enclosing the material together with a pressure medium into a void, and giving explosive force.

CONSTITUTION: After a superconductive ceramic powder is packed into the metal tube made of Ag, etc., a wire element material 5 having a given diameter is obtained with diameter-reduced processing applied. Then the interference member 3 made of ceramic, etc., is inserted into a steel-made cylindrical vessel 1, and the material 5, the powder of a SiC powder, etc., and the pressure medium 6 composed of the liquid of water, etc., are inserted together and packed into a void. This is sealed and explosive force is added, then a sintering treatment is applied after the material 5 is made to be highly dense. This enables critical current density to be improved.
