Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of stably manufacturing online a steel plate whose bar cutting distortion is small and moreover which has homogeneous quality over the whole steel plate.
SOLUTION: Cooling having a temperature distribution in the width direction of a plate is executed so as to compensate the quantity of temperature drop in the vicinity of a plate end part which generates from a heating furnace to the finish of rough rolling and temperature drop in the vicinity of the plate end part which is estimated to generate at the time of finish rolling with a cooling device 2 which is provided between a roughing mill 1 and a finishing mill 3. Thus, a temperature in the width direction of the steel plate becomes uniform after finish rolling is completed. In such a state, accelerated cooling is executed with an accelerated cooling device 5 under a cooling condition uniform in the width direction. Since a temperature in the width direction of the steel plate at the inlet side of the accelerated cooling device 5 is uniform, the steel plate is uniformly cooled in the width direction with an accelerated cooling device 5, and an internal stress is not generated. Therefore, the steel plate whose bar cutting distortion is small and which has homogeneous quality is manufactured.
