PURPOSE: To obtain a thin film-type thermo-sensitive recording head suitable for large-size thermo-sensitive recording by forming the second lead electrode row in the other part of the upside of a dielectric base plate including the upside of each open terminal of the first lead electrode row exposed from a wear- resistant layer.

CONSTITUTION: A heating element row 33 of Ta2N, etc., is formed on an alumina base plate 1 on which a gray layer 2 as a heat storage layer is formed over all surface, and the first lead electrode 34 is formed on the heating element row 33. A photo resist is coated on the first lead electrode 34, dried, and exposed to light in a necessary pattern form. The photo resist is removed, a metal mask 8 is closely provided on the heating element row 33 and the first lead electrode row 34 and fixed by a fixing tool 9. A wear-resistant layer of SiO2, etc., is then formed on them. The second lead electode row 44 of a conductor material is formed on the whole surface of the base plate 1, a multilayered wiring part 6 is formed, and then a separate diode is set.
