Abstract:

To accurately manufacture a thrust bearing at a low cost by bringing a flange into contact with one end of a shaft at a point, regulating a relative angle of the flange to the shaft, and welding the flange with the shaft.

When the lower end of a shaft 2 is butted and mounted to the upper surface of a base 30 of a shaft assembling jig, central axes of the shaft 2 and a jig sleeve inner peripheral surface 31 are parallel with each other at a predetermined tolerance accuracy. Next, when the lower surface of a flange 8-c is butted and mounted to a step butting surface 33 of a jig sleeve 32, and a stamba 34 pressurizes the upper surface of the flange 8-c, size of a spring chamber 29 decreases, the lower surface of the flange 8-c abuts on a point contact 17 at the upper end of the shaft 2, the upper and lower surfaces of the flange 8-c and the central axis of the shaft 2 are regulated within a predetermined perpendicularity. Next, when voltage is instantly impressed between electrodes 35, 36, metal near the point 17 instantly melts, then cools, and freezes to integrally adhere the shaft 2 to the flange 8-c. Thus, high accurate bearing can be provided at a low cost.
