Title:
MANUFACTURE OF TRANSPARENT TIN OXIDE FILM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5930723
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To form a transparent tin oxide film without generating a corrosive gas and using a catalyst and a reducing agent by treating a substrate with a mixture of a bivalent tin chelate compound with a quatervalent tin compound and causing hydrolysis or thermal decomposition.

CONSTITUTION: A substrate is treated with a mixture of a bivalent tin chelate compound such as Sn(AA)2 [AA is a (substituted) β-diketone residue], Sn(AE)2 (AE is acetoacetic ester) or Sn(AN)2 (AN is N,N-dialkyl aminoalcohol) with a quatervalent tin compound such as SnCl4, tetraethoxy tin or tetrabutyl tin, and a tin oxide film is formed by hydrolysis or thermal decomposition. No corrosive gas is generated during the hydrolysis or thermal decomposition, and a transparent composite body consisting of quater- and vibalent tin oxides is formed at a relatively low temp. without using a catalyst and a reducing agent such as hydrogen.
