To design a vehicular brake, which uses no solid or semisolid lubricating components including grease and oil or is for use in a so-called dry sliding condition, to produce stable braking force in a wide range from a low-speed low-pressurizing state to a high-speed high-pressurizing state.

A brake ring 3 and a brake shoe 2 both contain at least one type of lubricant selected from the group of graphite, a molybdenum disulfide, a tungsten disulfide and a boron nitride. The lubricant content of the brake ring 3 is set of or above 1% by weight, that of the brake shoe 2 is from 0.5% to 5% by weight, and the sum of those of the brake ring 3 and brake shoe 2 are of or above 3% by weight.
