Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain veneer one side of which is smoother in comparison with conventional one.
SOLUTION: When a thick veneer 9 lathed out from raw wood is divided into two sheets, two veneers to be separated from the thick veneer 9 are bent so that the degree of bending can be made gentle, obtaining a veneer one side of which is smoother in comparison with conventional one. Since the grains of the two divided veneers match up entirely, by using a pair of the veneers to form plywood, the strain of the plywood can be reduced.
