PURPOSE: To enable to retain reliable waterproof quality, eliminating permeation of water inside the shoe, by sewing surface cloth to attach it to the waterproof shoe, with its upper and insole formed by unvulcanized rubber, and effecting vulcanizing treatment after landing the outer bottom thereto.

CONSTITUTION: The first semifinished waterproof shoe A made of unvulcanized rubber is obtained by conducting molding process to attach rubber to the leg part by means of the manufacturing process of the ordinary whole rubber shoes. That is, applying lining cloth 1A to the last and fixing it at the top of the last; then gum arabic is spread over the entire lining cloth 1A and dried. Then, insole 1B, inner lining 1C, inside winding tape 1D, crescent-shaped rubber 1E, toe-end reinforcing rubber 1F, leg rubber 1G and bottom covering rubber 1H are attached thereon. The upper covering 2 is formed by cutting the surface cloth in a shape just sufficient to cover the entire upper part other than the bottom part of the first semifinished waterproof shoe A and sewing up such cloth. After the gum arabic is spread over the back of the upper covering 2 and dried, the first semifinished waterproof shoe A is wiped with adhesive and the upper covering 2 is attached thereon in a closely fitting manner. After the outer bottom is bonded, the shoe is vulcanized. The last is slipped off and the unnecessary parts are trimmed off, to obtain the objective wateproof shoe.
