To manufacture wood chips having uniform quality by a method wherein the production of cutting dusts is reduced as small as possible so as to realize the high yield of wood and realize the production of a large amount of chamfered wood chips in a short period of time at low cost in the cutting and chamfering processes of a plank.
In this device, a plank 2 cut from a wood is cut by shearing force into rod materials 4 having equal width and then cut by shearing force shortly and equi-widthwise into wood polyhedral chips 3, to which a chamfering work is executed by being circulatorily and uniformly abraded with inclined abrading means. Thus, a large amount of uniform quality wood chips can be produced in a short period of time at low cost. Further, the SHIATSU (acupressure) curing effect on a heat part with the above woodchips is obtained and, at the same time, the shedding of a large amount of fragrance is realized due to the widening of the surface area of the wood chips.
