PURPOSE: To make punched holes and engaging tooth dies fit to each other, by a method wherein a tension is applied to a tape in temporary mold clamping immediately before injection molding by making the pitch of the punched holes provided in a row in the tape smaller than that of the engaging tooth dies of a mold.

CONSTITUTION: When a slide fastener is successively and continuously manufactured by a method wherein a fastener tape having punched holes for securing engaging teeth, provided in a row along one side edge thereof, is introduced into an injection molding machine having a mold provided with a plurality of engaging tooth dies in a row and a step wherein engaging teeth are secured into the tape punched holes by means of molding is repeated, the pitch of the punched holes previously provided in a row in the tape is made smaller than that of the engaging tooth dies of the mold in order to apply a tension to the tape in temporary mold clamping immediately before injection molding so that the punched hole position of the tape and the engaging tooth die position are always fitted to each other. Thereby, the tape is slowly and stably expanded as well as the expanding amount can be simply regulated.
