Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back plate for plasma display having high productivity, and to provide a plasma display having high display quality.SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the back plate for plasma display in which an address electrode, a dielectric layer and a barrier rib are formed by providing the address electrode or an address electrode precursor and the dielectric layer or a dielectric layer precursor on a substrate, and forming a barrier rib precursor having a desired pattern on the dielectric layer or dielectric layer precursor followed by baking, continuity check of the address electrode is performed after the baking. When a defective portion exists in the address electrode, the defective portion of the address electrode and the dielectric layer formed on the defective portion of the address electrode are removed, and the barrier rib around the defective portion of the address electrode is removed as needed, thereby a disconnection defective portion or short circuit defective portion of the electrode is corrected.
