Abstract:
To reduce welding distortion without impairing welding workability, in manufacturing of a cross beam of a bogie frame for a rail car.
In welding of cross beam pipes 610, reinforcing beams 620, caliper supports 630, gear box suspending supports 640, and motor supports 650, a hollow holder 660 is inserted into the pipe 610 and fluid 670 is filled in the holder 660. Then, arc welding 680 is performed with the holder 660 sealed. Thus, welding distortion can be reduced.
