Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a high reactive butene polymer using a mixture of hydrocarbon with 4 carbon atoms (mixed C4 component) as a raw material, capable of providing the high reactive butene polymer having good properties suitable for an intermediate raw material for manufacturing an additive such as a lubricant additive or fuel oil cleaner by using a general purpose manufacturing device at high efficiency.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a butene polymer for providing the butene polymer by a polymerization reaction using a mixture of hydrocarbon with 4 carbon atoms containing isobutene as a raw material and a boron trifluoride complex as a catalyst, wherein conversion ratio of isobutene in a polymerization reaction is 75% or more and the mixture satisfies the following formula (1), where isobutene concentration in the mixture is X mass% and 1-butene concentration in the mixture is Y mass%. 35.0≤X-Y/7≤60.0 (1).SELECTED DRAWING: None
