Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of a cage of a constant velocity universal joint which can reduce the waste of a metal stock to be discharged in a manufacturing step.
Six substantially parallelogram through-holes 120 are punched in the metal stock 113 which is cold-forged in a cylindrical shape with an outer circumferential surface 21 formed in a curved surface at equal intervals. The stock is pulled along the axis m while twisted around the axis m, and the cross-sectional area of an opening of the through holes 120 is increased, and the through-holes 120 are formed in a substantially rectangular shape of a ball holding window 20.
