Abstract:

To provide a ceramic sheet having a higher degree of orientation of crystals.

The ceramic sheet is self-supported and planar and has a thickness of 10 μm or less, wherein a surface of the sheet includes a specific crystal plane; the number of crystal grains having an aspect ratio of 3 or more present in the thickness direction of the sheet is one; and the degree of orientation of the sheet measured by the Lotgering method is 30% or more. The crystal grains are composed of an oxide which has a perovskite structure and grows into crystal grains with an isotropic shape and represented by the general formula, ABO3, wherein the site A contains at least one element selected from the group consisting of Li, Na, K, Bi, and Ag; and the site B contains at least one element selected from the group consisting of Nb, Ta, and Ti. The sheet contains an oxide which grows into crystal grains with an isotropic and polyhedral shape during firing. However, since grain growth in the thickness direction of the sheet is limited and grain growth in the surface direction of the sheet is promoted, it is possible to obtain crystal grains having a high aspect ratio and a high degree of orientation.
