Abstract:

To provide a new manufacturing method for manufacturing a fluorine-containing organic compound of high purity selectively and efficiently with a light environmental load.

A compound represented by formula (1) below is fluorinated by reacting it with fluorine in a liquid phase to give a compound represented by formula (A) below. The compound represented by formula (A) is dechlorinated to give a compound represented by formula (B) below. The compound represented by formula (A) is used as a solvent in a liquid phase fluorination method or as a diluent of a raw material for fluorination. CClX1X2-CClX3-CClX4-CClX5X6 (1). CF2Cl-CFCl-CFCl-CF2Cl (A). CF2=CF-CF=CF2 (B). In formula (1), X1-X6 are each independently a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom and at least one of them is a hydrogen atom.
