To provide a manufacturing method for a commutator segment connection body, which can manufacture the commutator segment connection body at low cost, by decreasing materials to be discarded as much as possible that are produced in a manufacturing process.
A belt-shaped material 10 is cut at the substantially center thereof in the longitudinal direction and separated from each other to form a pair of belt-shaped segment connection bodies 13, 14 on both sides. In this case, the belt-shaped material is cut so that the mutual connection claws 3, 3 of the belt-shaped segment connection bodies 13, 14 on both sides can mesh with each other. Then, the connection claws 3 are formed into a prescribed shape, and the belt-shaped segment connection bodies 13, 14 are cut to a prescribed length to manufacture a commutator segment connection body 1.
