Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a crank shaft capable of preventing a crack from occurring on a crank shaft in a process of fixing bending, to manufacture a crank shaft with high strength.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a crank shaft 1, which is formed by connecting a crank journal 2 and a crank pin 3 to each other with a crank arm 4, comprises the steps of: soft-nitriding the crank shaft 1 to form a compound layer 6 on a surface of the crank shaft 1; removing the compound layer 6 at a first connection corner part 11 between the crank journal 2 and the crank arm 4 and a second connection corner part 12 between the crank pin 3 and the crank arm 4; and correcting bending occurring at the crank shaft 1 with soft-nitriding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
