To provide a method for manufacturing a decorative article capable of suppressing reduction in metallic design during molding.SOLUTION: The present disclosure provides a method for manufacturing a decorative article which comprises steps of: preparing a member to be molded including at least a decorative sheet having a resin layer and a metal thin film layer; molding the member to be molded by pressing to a mold; and expanding the decorative sheet in the opposite direction to a direction in which the decorative sheet contracts due to the molding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
