To machine grooves on the inner surface of a dewatering cylinder of a screw press type dewatering apparatus using a milling machine having good performance and low machining costs.
In the manufacturing method of dewatering cylinder for screw press type dewatering apparatus, the grooves 34 extending in an axial direction of the dewatering cylinder are machined in a cut board 35 by an end mill 36 of the milling machine, and bending reinforming materials 37 for reinforcement in bending are embedded in the grooves 34. The cut board 35 with the bending reinforming materials 37 embedded therein is bent so as to have an arc shape cross section by a press machine. The bending reinforcing materials 37 are melted and removed from the bent cut board 35. The cut boards 35 with the grooves 34 appeared due to the melting of the bending reinforcing materials 37 are butt-welded.
