Abstract:

To provide a production method for an FRP-made molding with high designability, by which an FRP-made outer plate member without surface pits can be molded.

The following means is employed for solving such a problem, i.e., the production method for the FRP-made outer plate member molds an outer plate member made of a fiber reinforced plastic consisting of a reinforcing fiber and a resin by employing the following processes (1) to (3): a seal part of molding dies is constituted of a hollow string-like body of an elastic material, and the void ratio represented by a ratio of the cavity volume of the string body to an apparent volume including the cavity volume is 0% in at least part of the string-like body in the longitudinal direction before the dies are clamped. (1) A plurality of the molding dies are used to form a cavity having the shape of the outer plate member inside the dies, a reinforcing fiber substrate is set in the cavity and the dies are clamped. (2)The interior of the cavity is evacuated, and then the resin is injected with pressure and cured. (3) The molding dies are opened and the cured FRP-made outer plate member is taken out.
