Abstract:
To equalize amounts of elongation during molding between one end and the other end of a glass ribbon in the width direction in the case of molding the glass ribbon for the production of a glass article.SOLUTION: This method for producing a glass article includes: a molding process P1 for molding a glass ribbon 2 from molten glass 6; and a conveyance process P2 for conveying the glass ribbon 2 along a conveyance path. In the conveyance process P2, a first roller 9a and a second roller 9b are disposed so as to be in contact with one end 2s and the other end 2t in the width direction of the glass ribbon 2, respectively, and conveying the glass ribbon 2.
