Abstract:

To provide a glass substrate for a display, suppressing bend during transportation or thermal warpage by a heating process.

The glass substrate for a display is a rectangle having a short side of not less than 300 mm, a plate thickness of 0.3 mm to 6 mm, and has a distribution of deviator stress in a compressive direction along the circumference of the substrate, the deviator stress caused by residual strain within a substrate plane and measured in the thickness direction, in which the maximum value of the deviator compressive stress near each side, in a parallel direction with the side, is not less than 0.3 MPa.
