Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a molding of graphite material having appropriate size and shape required in making a specified final product of graphite material.SOLUTION: A method for producing a molding of graphite material comprises applying one or more stresses selected from the group consisting of bending stress, shear stress, compressive stress, tensile stress and torsional stress to a carbon material fired at 800°C to 1200°C in a temperature rising process from 2400°C to 3000°C for graphitization so as to cause plastic deformation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
