Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a hollow container which can reduce thermal strain.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method includes: a preparation process of preparing a first metal member 2 having a bottom part 10 and a peripheral wall part 11, and a second metal member 3 having a bottom part 20 and a peripheral wall part 21; a butting process of forming a butting part J1 by butting an end surface of the peripheral part 11 of the first metal member 2 and an end surface of the peripheral wall part 21 of the second metal member 3; a temporary welding process of conducting spot-temporary soldering by friction stir on the butting part J1 in a state that only a stir pin F2 of a rotary tool F having the stir pin F2 is in contact with the first metal member 2 and the second metal member 3; and a final welding process of friction-stirring by rotating the rotary tool F around on the butting part J1 in a state that only the stir pin F2 of the rotary tool F is in contact with the first metal member 2 and the second metal member 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
