PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a honeycomb structure capable of reducing the passage resistance in pores.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a honeycomb structure which comprises: a kneading step (step S11) of kneading a mixture of an aggregate composed of inorganic compound particles and a pore-forming material composed of fibers 14 to prepare a kneaded clay; a molding step (step S12) of molding a molded body having a honeycomb structure using the kneaded clay; and a firing step (step S14) of firing the molded body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
