Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a leather-like sheet having improved surface quality, capable of decreasing the amount of a polymeric elastomer while keeping excellent abrasion resistance, and producible essentially from a fiber material.
The method for producing the leather-like sheet comprises a raising treatment of a nonwoven fabric comprising ultrafine fibers composed mainly of mutually interlocked single fibers, and a scraping treatment of the nonwoven fabric with an edged roll.
