Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of a linear member with a scale which can print the scale having a precise pitch width on a flexible linear member which is small in an outside diameter.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a linear member 1 with a scale having: a first process for manufacturing a hollow or solid flexible linear member 2 whose outside diameter is 0.5 mm or larger, and smaller than 1.5 mm, and whose longitudinal dimension is 50 mm or larger, and smaller than 800 mm; and a second process for printing the scale on a surface of the flexible linear member 2 in a longitudinal direction with a numerical value which is calculated by a formula of {(tension elongation rate (%) + 100/100}×(final necessary scale pitch width X1) as a pitch width X2 of the scale at the printing in a state that the flexible linear member 2 which is obtained in the first process is tensed so that the elongation rate in the longitudinal direction reaches 1% of higher and 20% or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
