Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing an organic EL display, with external extraction efficiency of light enhanced on a whole surface of a pixel region, and with electric current luminance efficiency enhanced, without depending on a shape of an optical element for changing a pixel size, a pixel shape and a progress direction of light.
By forming an upper surface of a high-refraction layer 12 higher than an upper surface of a gate electrode forming a wiring 8 and a TFT, a thickness of a silicon oxide film 13 formed on the upper surface of the high-refraction layer 12 is restrained, and thus, a diffraction grating 13a with desired optical characteristics is efficiently produced with high accuracy.
