This manufacturing method of a pants type disposable absorbent article including an absorber body having an absorbent core and an encasing material, includes: a process of intermittently cutting the belt-like sheet 120 expandable in the width direction and continuously carried, turning a short material obtained by cutting in a 90-degree arc, connecting the same to obtain a belt-like sheet 126 expandable in the machine direction; a process of sticking the belt-like sheet 126 and another belt-like sheet 136 expandable in the machine direction to each other with elastic members 61a, 61b, 62 held between them to obtain an encasing continuous body 110; a process of intermittently fixing the absorbent body 10 to the encasing continuous body 110 to obtain an absorptive article continuous body 100; and a process of folding the absorbent article continuous body 100 in two, forming side sealing parts, and cutting the continuous body into individual absorbent articles.
