Abstract:

To provide a manufacturing method to prevent generation of non-core cissing in which MgO powder dispersed over a protection film is repelled in a process to apply prepared ink with a slit coater.

In a manufacturing method of a plasma display panel formed with an electrode, a dielectric layer and a protection layer over a substrate, the protection layer is formed by the steps of: (i) forming a first protection layer over the dielectric layer which is formed over the substrate using sputtering method or deposition method; (ii) forming an MgO raw material layer by applying MgO raw material over the first protection layer using slit coater method; and (iii) forming a second protection layer by drying the MgO raw material layer. The MgO raw material includes MgO powder and two or more kinds of solvents and any of the two kinds or more solvents is a water-soluble organic solvent having one or more hydroxy groups.
